"eLibrary" is a library manager for your eBooks. People who download books from the Web sometimes get their books in bunches. Thus most people end up having a kind of electronic storage with thousands of books, and sometimes they are interested in only collecting information about books rather than reading them. However, sorting out the books can be a tedious job, as I have discovered myself.
This "eLibrary" program may not help you in organizing the books in particular directories, but it does give you an option to store the book information and paths in a database. It is a free and simple .NET application. In the left panel of the main window, you will see a tree structure with branches named according to different subjects (which can be customized to include more topics). In the right panel, you will see your eBooks with their cover pages. The program cannot extract cover pages from PDF or DJVU documents, these should be set manually.
One cool feature is that book's ISBN information can be downloaded from the web automatically. It can be done in the “Add New Book” section. You can also “Add Lots of Books” - that is, to add them in a batch. It does, however, cause some errors if you try to add a lot of books simultaneously. Such errors and the frequent slow-downs are a very irritating aspect of this program, indeed. The “monitor folders” feature is quite helpful, but only with smaller numbers of files. You can also set the program to rename a file if the corresponding book's info is found on the Internet. more
